Lead QA Engineer – Fulltime – Unity

Might & Delight are looking for a Lead QA Engineer for a full time position in our office in Stockholm.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage feedback from our community and drive the testing of our game “Book of Travels” in close contact with our fans and other testers.
  • Engineer builds within our deployment system for different environments and purposes. This means creation, upload and configuration, and quality assurance.
  • Debug issues in builds in a systematic way, identify potential complex issues using your problem solving skills and report them while being capable of suggesting improvements.
  • Develop and maintain operational deployment software e.g. interface with platform APIs (like Steam)

We have a strong relationship with our fans and our community and you will be our main link with them in regards to communicating builds and issues during our production and Early Access period and ongoing future maintenance of our game on Steam after release.

You will work closely with the designers and programmers to find ways to improve the quality of our game.

Using an ongoing build creation schedule you will make sure an up-to-date tested and stable build of the game can be created when needed. You will plan releases together with leads, and manage build versions over different environments.

  • A creative, curious and organized mind
  • Experience of testing games
  • Experience using issue & project tracking software
  • A strong passion for playing and understanding games and their systems
  • Knowledge of version control systems
  • Experience from shipping a game title for PC and consoles

Senior 3D character artist – Full time – Unity

Might and Delight are looking for an experienced and self-motivated 3D-artist to work on characters for Book of Travels on site at their Stockholm Studio.

 

Required Skills

  • Low poly 3D-Modeling, preferably in Max/Maya/Blender
  • Skinning, UV-mapping and texturing
  • Hand painting textures in the required style
  • Implementing assets independently in Unity
  • Ability to replicate the unique style of Book of Travels
  • An understanding of Unity workflow is required
  • Ability to respond flexibly to work priorities and tasks

News from the Shelter team + New Shelter 3 trailer!

There is now a new trailer for Shelter 3! We hope you like it. Much like an elephant, development is coming along slowly but surely. Currently the team are working on elephant behaviours, level design and bringing some animal NPCs to life. But we should have been further along than this by now, and today we’re writing to let you know that we’ve had to revise our schedule – release is now set for a realistic early 2021. We’re sorry – we know that some of you have been waiting so patiently!

Studio & Ethos

Might and Delight is a small independent game studio based in Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 2010, the studio has released over twenty projects including games, digital books and artwork, all of which have a highly crafted visual style and explore emotionally engaging themes such as motherhood, loss, freedom and solitude.

We take our inspiration from many sources including art, history, music and folklore. All of our games have a unique aesthetic and we work hard to craft digital experiences that are beautiful, immersive and emotionally provocative. 

The games we make at Might and Delight don’t fit neatly into genres, but what they have in common is the way they allow players to explore, speculate and reflect. Our workstyle is similarly reflective and we think that this results in games which aren’t just something a bit unexpected but that also have a lot of integrity. We enjoy connecting with people outside of the games industry and beside our own productions we engage in collaborations with art institutions, museums and libraries.

People

Our team consists of people from a wide range of backgrounds. Between us we’ve worked in everything from triple-a and indie games to animation, fine art, music, publishing and movies. We take an actively multidisciplinary approach to our games which is complemented by the variety of perspectives we each bring to the development process.
